It all started with a love of avocados…or a beginner’s book on hydroponics–it depends on who you ask. While Peter was on military deployment, it was challenging to find things to talk about other than our day-to-day lives. So, we began exploring how to grow our own fresh produce at home for our family. That’s when an at-home passion project turned into a Hydroponic farming business called The WeGrow Company.
We were always frustrated about the lack of high-quality, fresh, and seasonal produce available to us at the local grocery stores. We hated tossing out produce that spoiled because it didn’t get used at the right time. After starting our farm, our produce was now long-lasting, tasty, nutritious, and ready to eat right when we needed it. Less waste for our family meant saved time and money for us.
Now we are on a mission to help everyone get access to quality, fresh produce no matter where they are or the time of year.

WeGrow was born after three deployments, three babies, and four moves, so we understand why some veterans and spouses can struggle to find work that is both consistent and rewarding. As a military family, one of the driving forces behind our vision is to provide veterans and their spouses the opportunity to create their own sustainable business by starting a WeGrow farm.
We Grow Where You Are
We started WeGrow because we want food to be more local and therefore fresher, with less impact on the environment. By creating several smaller, centrally located farms, we can be hyper-local and closest to those who need us most. We’re here to make produce better and more efficient for you and the environment.
